<image:caption>I’ve been a counsellor for 28 years and I love my work! I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Social Work, but I’ve learned most from the people I’ve provided counselling to over the years. I specialise in trauma therapy and relationships counselling and I find they are a great combination for supporting people who are trying to overcome the negative and oppressive circumstances of their lives. I’ve provided counselling to people affected by racism and disability, mental health issues, including psychosis and hormonal problems, and drugs and alcohol. I am queer, sex-positive, LGBTIQ, poly, swingers, BDSM and sex worker affirming. I take a strong stand on discrimination, violence and social justice issues, and I’ve worked against violence for almost three decades in the fields of domestic violence, child abuse and sexual assault. There’s nothing we can’t work through.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The problems people experience are often the consequence of their life circumstances. It’s not who you are that’s the problem, but what’s happened or happening to you. We can’t always change our circumstances but counselling can support you to change how you respond to them and how they affect you. This often requires learning new ways to respond to yourself, to others, and to the world. What do you need support with? (Photograph provided by my good friend J.)</image:caption>
